Terms & conditions

Last updated: October 2026 (revised)  ·  SiteScope  ·  NSW, Australia
Summary — read this first
SiteScope provides preliminary feasibility analysis only. Our reports are not planning advice, legal advice, financial product advice or a property valuation. Do not rely on them as the sole basis for any binding decision, including making an offer, signing a contract or lodging a development application. Always engage qualified professionals before proceeding.
1. What this service is

We provide preliminary property feasibility information to help you screen development sites. Our reports compile data from publicly available government sources and apply general cost estimates and market benchmarks.

Reports are a starting point for your own research — not a substitute for professional advice.

2. Not professional advice

Nothing in our reports constitutes:

You should engage a licensed town planner, solicitor, architect, registered valuer or financial adviser before making any binding decision.

3. No reliance for binding decisions

Do not rely solely on our reports when:

4. Financial figures are estimates

Build costs, end values, profit margins and statutory cost estimates are based on publicly available benchmarks and comparable data at the time of the report. Actual results will differ. We make no representation that any projection will be achieved.

5. Data currency

Planning data is sourced from NSW Government APIs and may not reflect the most recent council amendments. Flood mapping data in particular may lag local council updates. Always verify constraints with the relevant council or authority before proceeding.

6. Named client only

Reports are prepared for the named client only. No third party may rely on a report without our prior written consent. We accept no liability to any third party who uses or relies on a report.

7. Liability cap

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from a report is limited to the fee paid for that report. We are not liable for any indirect, consequential or economic loss.

8. Referral arrangements

When we connect you with a town planner, architect, builder, broker or other professional, we may receive a referral fee or other benefit from that professional. This does not affect the fee you pay us. You can ask us at any time whether a referral arrangement exists for a specific professional we have recommended.

For mortgage broker referrals: we will disclose the referral arrangement to you, obtain your consent before passing your contact details to the broker, and we will not charge you a separate fee for the referral.

9. Consumer guarantees

Nothing in these terms excludes any guarantee, right or remedy under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.

10. Refunds and remedies

Satisfaction refund. If you are not satisfied with your report, contact us at hello@sitescope.net.au within 14 days of delivery. We will offer you a full refund of the amount paid, processed within 7 business days to the original payment method via Stripe.

Material error. If a material data error in a report is identified after delivery, we will correct and reissue the report at no charge within 24 hours of you notifying us of the specific error.

Report not completable. If we cannot complete your report because adequate planning data is unavailable for the property — for example, some rural or peri-urban sites — we will contact you before delivering any incomplete output and offer a full refund.

Delivery timeframes. We aim to deliver all reports within the timeframe stated at the time of purchase (typically 24 hours). If delivery is delayed beyond the stated timeframe without prior notice from us, you may request a refund or a revised delivery arrangement by contacting hello@sitescope.net.au.

Tier 2 to Tier 3 upgrade credit. If you purchase a Standard Report (Tier 2) and wish to upgrade to a Detailed Report (Tier 3) within 14 days of delivery, contact us and we will apply the amount already paid as a credit toward the Detailed Report, so you pay only the difference.

Nothing in this section limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

11. Your information and privacy

What we collect. When you purchase a report, we collect: your email address (via Stripe checkout), the property address you provide, your payment confirmation reference and your order details. If you create an account, we also store your login credentials (email and hashed password).

How we use it. We use this information to deliver your report, respond to your queries, notify you of order status, and maintain your account and order history. We do not sell your information to third parties. We do not share it with anyone except as required to deliver the service (for example, Resend is used to send transactional emails).

Property addresses. Property addresses you provide are used solely to prepare your report. They are stored in our order database for as long as your account exists. They are not published, indexed or shared.

Retention. Order records and account data are retained for seven years in accordance with standard Australian business record-keeping obligations. You may request deletion of your personal information by contacting hello@sitescope.net.au; we will delete it to the extent permitted by law.

Security. Your data is stored in Cloudflare D1 (Cloudflare's managed database infrastructure). Passwords are stored as hashed values only — we cannot retrieve your password. Payment card details are processed entirely by Stripe and are not held by SiteScope at any time.

Referral to professionals. If you agree to an introduction to a professional (Tier 4 or separately), your contact details are shared with that professional with your consent only.

12. Comparable sales methodology (Tier 3 and 4)

The GRV (gross realisable value) in Tier 3 and 4 reports is checked by the founder against recent comparable sales. Comparable sales data is sourced from publicly available property listing data and recent sale records accessible through publicly available sources. We do not hold licensed subscriptions to CoreLogic, PropTrack, Domain or other commercial property data services. Comparable sales figures represent the founder's research from publicly available information at the time of the report and should be independently verified before any transaction.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
